I just want to know one thing.

Why do non-single girls go to bars and act single?


Jess has been actively hunting for a bit more than a month now (at least, I've had enough skill to make a real effort for about that long) but I have yet to meet one girl who doesn't have a boyfriend.

NOT ONE!


Oh, sure, here and there there's the odd single girl, but that's not a situation where any kind of attraction runs either way (with Sara the Erin's waitress, who is more into Yeti, for example). I'm talking about the situation where Jess might actually wind up with more than a phone number.


Really, I'm not looking for much of anything.

But it'd be nice if I found something that was more than nothing.
